Best in The Little Rann. Rann Riders is the most comfortable resort in Dasada, which is a convenient gateway to the Little Rann of Kutch. The resort offers a range of comfortable accommodation and full board. Equally important, it offers excursions to the Little Rann, activities such as nature walks and a glimpse into the local village and crafts. I recommend the resort highly, for its services. The staff is friendly and ever-willing to go that extra distance. Date of stay: January 2023Trip type: Travelled with friends. Room Tip: Book the resort’s jeep safaris to The Litte Rann. Go for a nature walk with the resort’s naturalist.

Hello Priyanka! This is Adi Mistri, back in Ahmedabad, missing your peaceful and lovely resort. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity, especially with June not feeling well. She was very touched by your concern. Kind regards, June and Adi

Rakesh and Priyanka were superb. The service teams were great. Neat and attentive, always smiling if a bit shy.The outdoor cleaning teams were great too, one particular lady just did such a detailed job of cleaning. The first two nights in the Rann Cottage No: 10 was comfortable, loved the colors and the whole minimalist vibe. The bathrooms were clean and uncluttered. Taken note of the creams and shampoos and almost no use of single use plastic in the rooms both for the tea/coffee station, bathroom amenities and also water bottles. The housekeeping is superb, they left the room and the bathroom squeaky clean. The breakfast, lunch and dining options were very good, including the snacks served around the fire. Loved the Mirs and their trinkets. The last three nights in the Safari Cottages were my favourite. Loved the bathrooms, showers and the small courtyard. The chairs by the window were perfect. Thank you for the lovely stay! Shobha

A must stay at resort It was a short trip to Ahmedabad. We couldn’t travel to the great rann of kutch so decided to head to little rann if kutch for a night stay. From the time I reached out to them with my questions to the booking process, on arrival to departure, it was a seamless experience. The staff are limited polite, courteous & friendly. It’s very rare to see a resort ask you for allergies before arrival. Priyanka greeted us, explained the layout of the property & our safari. Their cottages are cute & serene. So much of greenery around & coz it’s far from the madding crowd, it’s pure bliss. Loved their curated accessories to decorate various parts of the resort. The cottages are spacious & well designed. The food was delicious. We were served packed breakfast during our safari & it wasn’t the usual here’s your box. The driver spread a cloth, laid out everything that we had asked for & said enjoy your breakfast. Sandwiches (2 varieties), cookies, tea & lime juice. They allocated us a cottage that we paid for. Since there was some repair work done close by & we would get disturbed, they upgraded us within 10 minutes of us checking in. We didn’t mind the noise coz we were heading for lunch & then a safari so wouldn’t have been bothered. This resort is a must stay at. It’s run by the kaafila group. The accommodation includes lunch, dinner, breakfast. You can choose any of the safari options at additional cost. In the afternoon we went on a village tour & the morning to the salt marshes & to see the migratory birds & Indian wild ass. You’ll not be disappointed if you love nature.

A nice location to enable our exploration of the Little Rann of Kutch Sanctuary and local villages. Very well designed, in a sort of garden cum forest, and extremely well managed. A comfortable room with dressing room and bathroom and large and comfortable dining room with a good food selection. Very friendly and helpful staff from the manager/owner down.

One night two day stayed at this excellent property, near little rann. Staffs behaviour beyond expectations and want to give their best. Ideal place for Morning yoga and meditation. Only regret is that stayed very short period so future trips will envisage. Foods were awesome tasty , healthy. Overall rating is7 * plus.

Lovely large cottage with swing seats outside and both an indoor and outdoor shower. Food excellent and varied and the staff were most attentive. The safari was the winner , seeing the beautiful wild asses and lots of birds, followed by a visit to a salt makers home . Topped off by a visit to stables on site made this a memorable stay.

Great Food and a lovely place to stay. Although we were a little early for the main season we enjoyed the Jeep Safari a fantastic experience. The staff were friendly and had we had more time could have done many other activities.

Excellent food, natural ambience, comfortable cottages. We will cherish the Rann Rider safari as we watched hundreds of birds, Jhinjhunwada gates, rock salt heaps. Thank you for excellent service, Rann Riders!

2 days at Rann Rider were great. The warm welcome by a friendly and professional team. The double room was comfortable. A / C, fan, TV, kettle with coffee and tea. Although I did not use it I prefer the tea prepared by the hotel. The rooms are set in a lush garden, with birds, squirrels. The room was very clean with 2 swings on a small terrace. There are horses and the construction is reminiscent of a hacienda :-). The little Rann being closed, the team allowed me to go and see the wildlife during a safari. Birds, wild donkeys, antelopes, but also villages and salt marshes. All with good explanations of the Guide. The team was able to reserve my place on the bus back to Ahmedabad and it was even put in touch with the driver, who warned us he was coming (early). For the first meal they thought of my taste buds, offering dishes not too strong. I am super happy with my stay at Rann Rider and the board. thanks to them.

This place is one of the best ways to enjoy the little Rann , see the endangered wild ass and if luck permits, the shy desert fox and of course birds like flamingos. They also take us to meet the communities working in the rann for salt. That was an interesting experience not to be missed. Food was also great. The rooms have a traditional decor. A little pricey though, but still great.

Wonderful place. Our room was spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was clean and had some nice organic toiletries – a nice touch. The place is full of animals dogs (very peaceful dogs, so don’t worry), cats, birds, horses etc. it really is a peaceful place to stay. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and very helpful. The various safaris and tours we had via this hotel were nice and unhurried – loved it. Hope to come back one day.

Had the pleasure of visiting Gujarat recently and stayed at Rann Riders safari resort for 3x nights. A very nice place in the middle of nowhere with down to earth style cottages with adequate landscaping and greenery and a small stream flowing through the property. The safari into the little Rann which is part of the package was done very professionally by the expert guides especially Ijaaz who was an authority in his field of work. Very decent catering was also a highlight of the stay. Overall an excellent place to spend few days.

A well designed, full service, eco-resort. Clean rooms and grounds and a very friendly efficient staff. The evening meals were all delicious. The hotel provides clean 4-wheel drive safari vehicles and experienced drivers/naturalists. There visits to Little Rann are amazing. We were in a room near the restaurant and, therefore, had good internet. And the owners are dog and cat lovers! 😉 PS: This area of the world is dry–alcohol wise. If you are inclined to have an occasional drink, be sure to bring some beer with you.

Rann Riders is a wonderful base from which to go on jeep safaris into the Rann of Kutch to see the protected Wild ‘horses’. Malik, the owner of the resort, has developed a tranquil, village atmosphere at the resort with individual ‘houses’ built in village style with mirror work decorations and local embroidery curtains and a.c. , set in lovely grounds with an open air, lovely dining area. Excellent food, friendly staff, groups accommodated without overpowering the setting. Samet is our driver and guide and is wonderful. It is clear that he knows his wildlife and also enjoys being out in nature.

There are very less hotel options when you want to go to little rann. Rann riders is an amazing place given its location. It has beautiful mud cottages, some round and some rectangular. The rectangle one has swings in the front which adds charm to it. It has a small canal inside the resort which has bridges. There is a pond too. Overall it gives a very nice feel being close to nature. The rooms are nicely decorated with bamboo furniture. The safari jeep takes you to little rann.. where we saw flamingos, salt pans and most beautiful sunset. Overall it is a nice experience and would recommend this place.

Set In the arid countryside, this attractive resort’s extensive gardens are quite a surprise when you arrive. The individual huts with mud walls are in the style of the local architecture – simple, but quite comfortable. We particularly liked the swing seats either side of the front door where you could just sit and relax or just sit… The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local environment – the Little Rann of Kutch reserve was an extraordinary landscape of dry salt flats where the wildlife, particularly the wild “horse-like creatures” and blue buck were readily seen. Our hotel guide knew a great deal about his area and our jeep safari around the reserve was fascinating – wildlife, the tough life of the salt gatherer community and a spectacular sunset.

If you’re visiting the Rann of Kutch, Rann Riders is the most supportive place for photographers. They have excellent guides and they do extensive scouting in the desert to find you the sightings you’re aiming for. They charge a premium in comparison to competing lodges, but then with Muzahid and his team, you can be rest assured that you get what you pay for. I’ve never had a bad day with them.

If you want to see the Little Rann of Kutchh — whether to see the birds, the wild equines, and other wildlife, or to explore some of the local villages and their textile crafts — staying at this lodge is a great choice. Individual extremely comfortable cottages are perfectly decorated with regional artwork. Twice daily safaris to see the wildlife, or the local villages are well run, with great naturalist guides. Wonderful Indian food is on offer for lunch and dinner, and light breakfasts as well

We visited this place in first week of September. We were little hesitant to visit this place going by the reviews. But it turned out to be a beautiful Country Side resort. A nice place to take a brake for couple of days. The owner and staff go out of their way to please the customers. Food is great. The resort has a big pond next to it. It has a farm with many horses. The visit to the desert safari was great. Overall I will strongly recommend this place.

We were two families that traveled to this place (with two kids). We had a blast of a time. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions, and were kind enough to provide additional amenities because we were traveling with kids. The safari was excellent. The driver was very understanding of our interest in the local fauna, and very patiently showed us the Rann and the animals within it.

This is one of the few good places around LRK to stay in more comfort and explore. The location is excellent and well connected with high ways. It takes about 2 hours from AMD airport. The place is amazing. It is a huge property with ample access to the guests, they have a stable full of horses. The place is well maintained and quite magical. The rooms are big, spacious with a clean toilet and required amenities. They offer one of the best quality accommodation. The food and hospitality are great. The service and staff are well trained and courteous. You can book a safari directly with them, and do your route planning by yourself. They provide a vehicle (open four-wheeled drive) with a driver cum guide. During morning safari, they also provide packed breakfast with you. The booking process is smooth, they have all the necessary information there to complete the booking.

That’s awesome and fantastic hospitality experience after this Corona pandemic. Safari ride and the Asiatic wild Ass (Onager) is main attraction. With Food, staff and all amenities are the best. That is really peaceful and luxury rest destination with nature experience.

Excellent Service & Facilities Excellent staff, great hospitality and good food. This resort is situated in Dasada village of Little Run of Kutch (2hrs drive from Ahmedabad). Although the ambience of the resort is traditional, the resort is equipped with modern facilities these are called Kutchi Bhungas (Mud Huts). We walked into the room and were immediately amazed as it was everything we could have hoped for. Our stay and every aspect of our visit to Little Rann of Kutch was taken care by the team. The resort is in close-proximity to wild Ass sanctuary. We had one game drive in the Little Rann of Kutch (arranged by resort). We saw flamingos, cranes, eagles, ducks, wild donkeys, desert fox and nilgai amongst other animals. We stopped to meet a salt-maker and his family. It is an excellent choice for travellers visiting Gujrat.I cannot express how much we enjoyed staying here enough! This will definitely be a booking to repeat when we next return to Gujrat.

A peaceful retreat We came for the peace and quiet and Rann Riders didn’t disappoint. Our cottage was charming and quiet, the gardens were delightful and the food was excellent – both breakfast and dinner buffets featured fresh, regional cuisine.

Discovered Rann Riders after lots of searching for adventure place. Firstly found name so exciting, defeinetly worth to visit. Staff behavior and response is very good and well mannered. They gave us best comfort in terms of service, food, desert ride in their open THAR jeep with experienced Driver who is also a guide. They have made a beautiful mix of authentic Kutch village theme with modern touch. The manager is very humble and gentle to have chat and exchange travel experience. The chef and butlers are also very well-mannered with quality serving methods. Food was indeed better with taste of continental, Indian touch. Not to forget lots of animals and birds indeed. Horse of high Rajasthani breeds Named REVATI. A shooting range ground, beautiful birds and Ducks who also don’t let u feel lonely. Heartly thnx to Mr. Haider for all their effort
